Helping Hands

DURING COVID-19 Stay-at-Home order Helping Hands will be open on Thursdays only from 9:30 to Noon for a NO CONTACT – Food only Pantry. No clothing will be given out during this time and we are NOT accepting any donations. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY CLOTHING DONATIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
 
 
It is our mission to CONNECT with the most needy in our community, help them GROW in self-sufficiency as we SERVE them with the love of Christ Jesus.
 
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew 25:35-36 Helping Hands

For those in need we provide:

  • Food—Visit once a month
  • Clothing
  • Guidance to other agencies
  • Prayer and Spiritual support

Ways to get involved:

Clothing Pantry We are always looking for donations Clean—Gently Used—Pet Hair Free—Smoke Free

  • Clothing items for infants to adults

Food Pantry We are always looking for donations

  • Frozen meat
  • Non-perishable food items

Other Opportunities to Serve

  • Volunteers needed to pick up food from Sauk Valley Food Bank
  • Volunteers needed to work in and run pantries
